Chris Gray
Lead Instrustor
With 25 years dedicated to the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Coach Chris Gray brings a depth of experience, patience, and perspective that can only be built over time on the mats.

A 3rd Degree Black Belt under long-time coach Stewie Moulden, he has competed at state, national, and Pan Pacific level competitions, developing a jiu jitsu style grounded in strong fundamentals, pressure, and efficiency.

Beyond competition, his true passion lies in coaching. He is deeply committed to helping students of all ages and experience levels learn, grow, and gain confidence through jiu jitsu both on and off the mats. His approach focuses on creating a supportive, disciplined environment where students feel challenged, safe, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves.

Adam McCurdy
Instructor
With years invested in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Coach Adam McCurdy brings a wealth of knowledge, calm leadership, and technical precision achieved only by time on the mats.
A highly experienced Black Belt under coach Stewie Moulden, he has tested his skills across state, national, and Pacific level competition platforms at all belt ranks, refining a jiu jitsu style built on . His approach reflects both deep technical understanding and the ability to adapt jiu jitsu to every body type and learning style.
While competition has been an important part of his journey, Adam’s true passion lies in teaching. He is committed to guiding students of all ages and backgrounds, helping them build confidence, resilience, and capability through consistent training.
His coaching style emphasises patience, clarity, and a supportive environment where students feel safe to challenge themselves and grow.

Tracey McCurdy
Women's and Kid's Class Instructor
With many years dedicated to training, teaching, and empowering others through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tracey brings a blend of compassion, confidence, and leadership to the Forge Jiu Jitsu team. As an experienced purple belt, she has developed a style rooted in practical self‑defence, intelligent movement, and creating confidence through capability.
Tracey has trained under respected coaches throughout her journey and has built a reputation for her clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to make jiu jitsu accessible to students of all backgrounds. Her passion lies especially in supporting women and kids, helping them build strength, resilience, and self‑belief both on and off the mats.
Tracey’s background in social work adds a unique depth to her coaching. She has spent many years supporting individuals and families through challenging circumstances, giving her a strong understanding of trauma‑informed practice, communication, and empowerment. This experience shapes the way she teaches — with patience, empathy, and a commitment to making every student feel safe, respected, and valued.

Dale Delves
Kid's Class Instructor
Dale brings energy, patience, and a genuine love for teaching to the Forge Jiu Jitsu kids program. As a committed Blue Belt with several years of training behind him, Dale has developed a coaching style that blends fun, structure, and skill-building in a way that keeps kids engaged and excited to learn.

Dale has a natural ability to connect with young students, helping them feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress. He focuses on creating a positive environment where kids can build coordination, discipline, resilience, and teamwork — all while having a great time on the mats.
